  1. First, if you right-click on a blank area of the bar, where an open file would appear, and choose Properties from the list, a dialogue box appears.
  2. Then, check the “Auto Hide” option and then finish with the OK button.
  3. Now, you have the Start Bar hidden from view until you move your cursor below the bottom of the screen.
  4. And the Start Bar will appear as long as you hold the pointer in that area and disappear when you move it away.
